Start-up Technology and Innovation “B to B Meet” in the India International Science Festival (IISF), 2023

The primary purpose of the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023 was to showcase and celebrate India's achievements, breakthroughs, and advancements in the field of Science and Technology. The event aimed to promote scientific temperament, hands-on learning, and create awareness about societal issues. It provided a platform for top Indian scientific and academic organisations, research and development labs, startups, entrepreneurs, and various stakeholders to exhibit their contributions to the country's overall development.

• Event Details: The IISF 2023 was held from January 17–20, 2024, at the DBT-THSTI-RCB Campus in Faridabad, Haryana, to celebrate India's scientific achievements.

• PDEU IIC Contribution: PDEU IIC exhibited its startups on January 17–18, 2024, engaging with over 3,000 visitors.

• Showcased Startups:

  • MCS Cargar Pvt. Ltd.: An on-demand EV charge-as-a-service provider focusing on DC fast off-grid portable chargers.

  • Techinnovate Mobility Pvt. Ltd.: Offers OEM custom E-bikes and logistics solutions for food-delivery companies to improve operational efficiency.

  • Manentia Advisory Pvt. Ltd.: A MediTech startup developing AI-based radio imaging and analysis services for early detection of lung abnormalities and cancer.

The footfall at stalls was significant, with a total of 3000+ visitors. The attendees were delegates from Central Ministries/Departments, State Governments, industries, media, exhibitors,  startups, visitors, etc. The interaction with them  provided an excellent opportunity for the startups to receive feedback, engage with potential collaborators, and create awareness about their products.

The event successfully fulfilled its objectives of promoting scientific awareness, celebrating achievements in science and technology, and encouraging collaboration between different stakeholders. PDEU IIC's participation contributed to the overall success of the exhibition, showcasing the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial drive of the startups. The engagement with students and industrialists further emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between academia, industry, and the general public for the advancement of science and technology in India.
