About the event
Following up on the session at SLIMS, a pitching session was organized by PDEU IIC to help them develop their pitch decks, solidify their learnings and honing their skills for future presentations. The event started with a small interaction with ten selected student teams and instructing them about how to pitch in front of panelists, the time duration and concentration on the solution of their problem. Following the informative session, PDEU IIC took the initiative to organize a pitching session. Here, one-on-one evaluations of startup ideas were done by mentors of IIC. This interactive session allowed IIC Mentors to directly evaluate the progress each team had made since the initial competition at SLIMS. The one-on-one format provided valuable insights into how the teams had transformed their ideas through workshops and mentorship. After these presentations, the session shifted to a discussion focused on validating startup ideas. Through engaging activities and Q&A sessions, students gained valuable insights into how to assess the feasibility and market potential of their business ideas.
In these sessions, students had the opportunity to present their startup ideas in greater detail, and armed with the feedback received during the initial presentations, they refined their pitches. Mentors provided constructive feedback and suggestions, guiding students on how to improve and strengthen their ideas. The visit concluded with an informal networking session, which offered a platform for students and IIC representatives to connect more personally. During this session, mentors offered guidance on the next steps for the student entrepreneurs, including how to leverage the resources available at the PDEU IIC. This comprehensive visit provided students with critical feedback and support essential for advancing their entrepreneurial career .
The event concluded with significant outcomes for the student teams. They learned how to create effective pitch decks and gained knowledge on how communication skills can improve their level of pitching. Through interactive discussions and feedback sessions, students enhanced their ability to clearly and persuasively present their startup ideas. One-on-one mentoring provided personalized guidance on engaging and convincing panelists.
