About the event
The PDEU IIC team initiated the visit with a specialized introductory session for the first-year MBA students. This session was carefully structured to impart a practical understanding of entrepreneurship and startup management.
During the presentation, the team detailed the incubation centre's core mission, the specific categories of startups it supports, and the structured resources available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The content was highly relevant to the management students, as it bridged classroom theory—such as business models, market validation, funding strategies, and operations—with the realities of the startup ecosystem. Students were informed about key support mechanisms, including mentorship networks, skill-based workshops, strategic guidance, and stage-wise incubation support to help early-stage ventures scale sustainably. This discussion offered an industry-oriented perspective on how incubation centres foster innovation while simultaneously strengthening business viability and managerial decision-making.
After the session, students engaged in a Q&A, asking about the incubation process, startup challenges, and available support. The visit ended with a guided tour of the IIC's co-working spaces, meeting rooms, and innovation labs, showcasing the organized and supportive environment for collaboration and learning.
The visit to the PDEU IIC was a valuable experience for the students from NICM. It provided them with a unique opportunity to witness the incubation process in real-time, learn from industry professionals, and explore the various resources available to help entrepreneurs succeed. The interactions during the Q&A session and the tour of the facilities left the students inspired and motivated to pursue their own entrepreneurial journeys. The visit also gave them a clear understanding of how spaces like PDEU IIC contribute to the growth of startups and foster innovation. It was a truly enlightening experience, one that will undoubtedly influence the students’ perspectives on entrepreneurship and innovation.
