INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The event commenced with a captivating Indian Dance Performance presented by students from the management department, serving as a vibrant introduction to the gathering. Praise was extended to the PDEU women's cell for their commendable efforts in organising the event. Subsequently, Shri. Abhinav Kapadia, the Director of PDEU IIC, took the stage to introduce the overarching theme of "INSPIRE INCLUSION". The theme encapsulates the significance of inclusivity for women across diverse sectors such as print media, entertainment, and STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). It emphasises the resilience and determination of women to overcome challenges and excel in their chosen fields. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of creating opportunities and fostering an environment where women can thrive and contribute meaningfully. 

Following the event, a panel discussion ensued featuring esteemed guests who shared their inspiring journeys to success. Mrs. Priyadarshini, a mentor and dedicated homemaker, underscored the importance of women's empowerment and called upon men to actively support women in their pursuit of new ventures. Dr. Rupa Mehta shed light on the significance of International Women's Day, offering insightful statistics regarding women's representation in legislation, and recounted her personal experiences navigating the male-dominated media sector. Dr. Kruti Patel stressed the significance of women's autonomy in decision-making and advocated for the prioritisation of self-care. The session culminated with a compelling presentation by women entrepreneur Ms.Megha, who eloquently detailed her company's achievements and growth trajectory, followed by an expression of gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions.

The event served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of women while also highlighting the need for continued support and empowerment to ensure their full participation and representation in all spheres of society. Following that, the event raised awareness of gender inequality, garnered increased support for women's rights initiatives, bolstered community solidarity, empowered individuals, and resulted in tangible steps toward gender equity. Such occasions inspired action, fostered inclusivity, celebrated women's achievements, and contributed to the establishment of a more equitable and just society for all genders, where everyone had equal opportunities and rights.
