CODE NOVA: COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING EVENT

Code Nova was a flagship competitive programming event organised & sponsored by PDEU IIC, designed to test participants’ problem-solving, logical reasoning, and algorithmic skills in a high-intensity coding environment. Through time-bound challenges, the event brought together creativity and computation, enabling participants to tackle real-world and future-ready problems while sharpening their analytical and innovative thinking. 

The competition involved solving a series of algorithmic and logical problems individually or in teams within a fixed time limit, with submissions evaluated based on correctness, efficiency, and overall performance. The event witnessed the participation of 70 students, ranging from first-year to final-year undergraduates, including active encode members and students from various disciplines with a strong interest in competitive programming. Code Nova covered essential computer science concepts such as data structures and algorithms, including arrays, strings, trees, and graphs, along with techniques like recursion, dynamic programming, greedy methods, and divide-and-conquer approaches.
