To gain knowledge and hands-on experience of the startup culture and ecosystem, the 2nd year Management students and faculty members from Anand Institute of Management and Information Sciences embarked (AIMIS) on an exciting visit to the PDEU Innovation and Incubation Centre (PDEU IIC).

About the event
The day kicked off with eager students arriving at the facility of PDEU IIC. Inside the Incubation Centre, they had an opportunity to witness vibrant innovation, entrepreneurial efforts, cutting-edge technology and glance at the startup ecosystem. The centre's collaborative efforts provided an ideal setting for students and faculty to delve into pioneering projects and startup endeavours.
The visit commenced with an in-depth presentation elucidating the core mission and vision of the incubation centre. Students gained insights into startup culture and entrepreneurship, learned about the centre's pivotal role in nurturing young talent, fostering entrepreneurship, driving innovation across diverse fields and bridging the gap between industry and academia. The presentation was followed by an insightful interaction with some of the startup founders incubated at PDEU IIC.
The visit aimed to provide AIMIS management students with hands-on exposure to the startup ecosystem. The program included:
Presentations and Startup Talks: Students learned about the center's mission and interacted with founders from Rhyno Wheels Pvt. Ltd., an eScooter manufacturer, and MCS Cargar Pvt. Ltd., an on-demand electric charging provider.
Mentorship Insights: Mr. Anay Mashruwala, a startup coach, discussed the critical role of mentorship in early-stage business development, covering areas like finance, marketing, and IPR.
Facility Tour: Attendees explored the prototyping lab, co-working spaces, and IPR cell, viewing real-life prototypes from startups like Rhyno Wheels and Imagine Powertree.
Closing: Mr. Abhinav Kapadia, Director of PDEU IIC, concluded the visit by emphasizing the center's dedication to nurturing young entrepreneurs and integrating with the academic sphere.
Observing and interacting with the incubated startups and their achievements inspired the students to pursue their inventive solutions, nurture them into viable business models and innovate. Interactions among the faculties, students, and PDEU IIC staff fostered fruitful discussions, facilitating the exchange of diverse ideas and viewpoints throughout the visit. The distinct backgrounds of both institutions sparked engaging dialogues and offered valuable insight to the students.
